Quiet

Not much new over the last few days.  I've been flying and Jan has started a new project.  We have hundreds and hundreds of oldy time photos from years past.  Our house in New Hampshire, many sailing trips to the Caribbean, family shots, kids, etc.  In her quest to clean out our storage unit, she is scanning any photos worth saving into the computer.  A huge project!  The weather has not been particularly good, lots of rain and cold so it doesn't hurt so much staying inside.

I had to have a special "check ride" since I turned 60.  I passed.  After age 60 you have to take a check ride and a FAA physical every 6 months!  Flew with another guy who is older than me and wants to fly to 70 years old, and is willing to go outside the country to do it.  Different strokes for different folks.

Still counting the days.

It's a lot of fun getting older....not only does your body start to fall apart or at least parts make their presence known but the world starts to notice and make you adhere to more rigid guidelines than before! Ha! The body may be old but the experience and wisdom we have gained trump youth any day! Anyway I am glad to hear that you aced the test but continue to plan for and look forward to a busy life in retirement. I know you will excell at retirement. When jan has finished her project we have more she can do....wouldn't want her to become bored!
Hope you have a wonderful Christmas with the grandchildren. Sending love, Nancy

Lots of truth there, Nancy! And I do plan to excel at retirement.
