Durango II

Rachel and I off early, 5:30am to go to Starbucks in town to work on our computers.  The wifi in the campground is very, very sssllllllooooooooooowwwwwww.  I needed to work on my schedule for August to how long I can stretch my vacation.  Did pretty good, off til the 19th, and fly a trip with a friend of mine.  45 days out of a 2 week vacation, not bad, huh?
Karen and Jan met us about 9:30, and Karen and Rachel headed out to Mesa Verde to see the cliff dwellings, and Jan and I walked around town, had lunch and looked at some superb binoculars.  We have a Swarovski spotting scope that is incredible, and we need another pair of good binoculars.  I've been doing a lot of research and the Swaro bins are very highly rated.  After looking through a 8.5x42 it is apparent why.  They are bright, sharp, amazing binoculars, a bit pricey though, but they'd last our lifetime sooo.......maybe I'm trying to justify them ;-)
After a good lunch, we went to pick up a couple items at the grocery store, and upon returning to our Jeep we see someone sideswiped us in the parking lot.  Not bad, drivable, but scraped down the side.  The vehicle that hit us was still parked right beside us.  An older couple came out and apologized, we exchanged info, talked to the cops, reported to our insurance companies, and we'll get it fixed after vacation.  We felt kind of sorry for the couple, as they were quite upset.  So other than taking several hours out of our day, no real harm done.  We plan to go offroading tomorrow so will let you know how we all make out.  Oh yeah, high of 85, low of 60.  Ooooh yeahhh!
