We had an uneventful trip to Longview, and that's absolutely the best kind. Diesel fuel has moderated a little bit which is good news with so many miles to go this year. In fact in Mississippi, where of course we didn't need fuel, it was down to $3.63, but it was still only $3.79 when we filled up in Shreveport, LA. That will get us all the way to Amarillo easily.
It will be nice spending some time with our grandkids and Kelly and Todd. As we get more experienced, read older, we learn that the one constant in life is change. Todd and Kelly are going through some now. They had an unexpected event in their lives that they are working through, and who knows, may cause them to move. Time will tell.
And no, we still haven't paid for the tires!
