Ramblings

Our internet issue has resolved itself somehow, at least for the time being.  I had scheduled a call with customer service for our WiFi boost system, but as I was waiting for that, we found out the entire campground wasn't getting internet.  Jan( that's Yon) and I tried to figure out why.  We worked together to reboot the modem and the WiFi router and were successful.  We figure the storm may have affected the system.  Seems a good thing to say, since neither of us are computer geeks.  Anyway, as I'm on hold waiting to talk to the customer service guy, Brian, all of a sudden on my control screen I get a prompt for a password, and boom, it works now!  Brian was speechless as well.  Really makes me wonder how much actual knowledge and expertise any of these IT guys have?

Our time here at Cool Pines is winding down, we leave Friday morning.  We are trying to fit in the last few things we want to do before we leave.  Wash the motorhome, figure out the new bike rack, bike ride in Durango, go to Walmart in Durango, take another hike, participate in another get together at the campground, get some Chinese food.  Those are most of the goals.

When we leave here we are going to another full service campground in Creede, CO for 3 days, then we launch on several weeks that will be very different for us.  We will be 4 days on Blue Mesa Reservoir, 3 days in a tiny, little National Forest campground in Almont, CO, and then 4 days at Taylor Lake, CO, all without sewer hookups, and no nearby dump station.  We think Blue Mesa may have a dump available that we can use, but after we leave there, there is nothing anywhere near Almont and Taylor Lake.  The black tank is not an issue, we normally go 7-10 days before we dump that tank, but the grey will be a challenge for 7 plus days.  Normally when we are in a campground we leave the grey water valve open, that way grey water, think shower, sinks, washing machine, dishwashing water can just drain out.  We have a 56 gallon tank that seems a lot, but think about how much water you use everyday and the challenge of restricting it to only 56 gallons in a week!  It will be different and fun to find out how we make out.
