Last day, south tomorrow

Amazing our month in the Atlanta area is over tomorrow.  Florida bound, with a couple quick detours along the way.  We got more accomplished here than we expected with Jan's surprise oral surgery, then followup.  Funny how these things work out:-)

Although I was sick for part of it, we crammed in a lot of fun and visits in addition to the  dentist, our dermatologist, and fantastic visits with friends.  Haha, even snagged some restaurants along the way, you knew I'd have to mention food.  Unfortunately coming back from Buffalo with a bit of a cold, we still fit in a lot of fun in our remaining days.

We met John and Diane for lunch and then went to the Andretti Indoor Karting and Games place in Marietta for an incredible time.  Something very new and different for Jan and I, not only did we experience virtual reality, amazing, but laser tag, and raced high speed electric go karts!  They go up to 35 mph around a very winding and interesting track.  It truly was intense.  I will admit my friend John beat me, but only by .018 seconds, I can live with that, and my excuse is he had previous experience:-)

Even got a Guinness there to celebrate!

We had a quiet but very pleasant Thanksgiving which started off with a bang.

Then even with juggling our doctor and dentist appointments we were able to join John and Diane at their lake house and had a wonderful visit.

We even managed to sneak in a visit to what used to be one of our favorite restaurants in Atlanta, Nori, Nori.  Now we did have a delicious lunch, but we just weren't as impressed as we had been in the past.
This was good!

Then we capped our time with a fantastic visit with good friends, Brett and Sandra who had us over after we went out to dinner to have delicious pecan pie, wine, and a really fun game of pool.  We had a wonderful time!  It was so nice to see their beautiful house and the exceptional personal improvements they have made.  Thank you guys.

Shshhhhh, we won:-)
So off tomorrow morning to get in position for our oil change and service, then farther south so we can stop in and get an estimate to paint our entry door on our coach.  For some reason the clear coat is coming off in several patches, and really looks bad.  We are hoping we won't go into apoplectic shock when we hear the cost, so we can arrange to have it done when we come back out of Florida in the spring.

See you in Florida!
