These last several days have been challenging. We are spending a lot of time with my mom. Jan and I have never gone through this process before, and although there are many bright, wonderful times and memories, it is no fun watching some one you love wind down. We are happy she has been able to remain in her house with some help, but unfortunately we have arrived at the point where she will no longer be able to stay on her own. We are trying to comfort and help in every way possible.
The eagles are not cooperating! The baby as I said is itching to fly. We've seen him hopping around and flexing his wings, but Jan spent an hour or so with her camera and he didn't cooperate. Maybe he has stage fright? She will keep trying when she gets a chance.
Karen arrives today after spending a week of bliss, and a ton of money getting a myriad of items taken care of on her motorhome at Alliance Coach The biggest item is replacing her Norcold RV refrigerator with a residential model. Norcold has several recalls out, and unfortunately, even after the recalls have been done, more than a couple motorhomes have burnt to the ground because of a fault with the Norcolds! In fact, this exchange has become very common, Karen says Alliance is doing more than one a week! She will be here for a month and we really look forward to having her around.
Incredible to believe we have been here 3 months already! We talked about how this would be the longest we have ever sat in one place, but wow, how time flies! We are committed now to staying indefinitely....
