Creede
After many sad good byes, we made our way out of Cool Pines towards Creede, CO. It was a pretty drive up over Wolf Creek Pass. Our washing of the motorhome was in vain as we encountered just enough rain to ruin the wash job completely! Oh well, the scenery on the way was fantastic. We have driven through this area many times but had never stayed here. See my campground write-up for more info, but we are parked at Mountain Views RV Resort and Campground, kind of a strange place. Views are awesome, but the way they set up the park with two different sides, one resort and one campground is different to say the least. It's fairly expensive to boot. Oh well, we aren't here for the campground. We'll be heading out in a little while to try to find the ghost town of Carson, supposedly one of the largest ghost towns in CO, although the road in is supposed to be a bit dicey. We'll let you know how we make out.
