We decided with all the obstacles we kept running into with the proposed house build, we would put it on pause, take a deep breath, and just reset the entire project. We had gotten to the point where we thought perhaps the whole idea of building was going to come to a complete end and we would have to restart looking seriously for a home to buy instead.
So what to do while we paused, well might as well eat:-)
We are very happy to be able to get an awesome haddock sandwich which rivals any we've had in Maine right near by at Maine Street Coastal.
We found a great dim sum place not too far away, Dumpling Garden.

We even found a place, VN Sandwich, much closer by for awesome Banh Mi's!

So back to the house saga, while taking a breath and talking things over, we decided to give it one more go, completely start over from scratch, still with our plan, modified a bit more, but with a different bank from scratch. So that's what we did, and at this point in time, everything is shaping up nicely, and it looks like we will be closing in a few weeks and hopefully breaking ground soon after. Turns out it pays to persevere. So thanks to all who had their fingers crossed for us, but please keep them crossed though, as you know, weird things can happen right up to the closing, but it does look like we're on track now, enough that we're celebrating a bit:-)
