We had a whirlwind few days here in Albuquerque. Got our errands run, Costco, groceries, REI, wine, all the necessities. Even had the coach washed and hand waxed! Looks great, at least for a few days.
But most importantly we had a very nice visit with Viv, Jan's mom who is 92 years young. She ran us into the ground:-) She is truly amazing, still active, still bright, and still has a sense of humor. We also had a very nice time with Nancy, Jan's oldest sister, and missed her husband CT as he is still traveling across America. Next time CT.
Now we enter our next segment, as we head ever eastward, eventually to Louisville. We will get a oil change and service done at Speedco, our go to oil change place, in Amarillo, and will be obligated to eat at The Big Texan, I'll try to keep Jan from attempting the 72 ouncer:-) Then we go to Weatherford, TX to have our engineered wood floors installed. Remember we have been living on plywood since our huge leak fiasco in Florida this winter, so finally we are getting our finished floors. The gentleman who is doing the install allows you to help so I plan to help as much as I can to expedite the process, and even hopefully save a few bucks. We are anxious to bring our "remodel" to its conclusion.
I hope to be able to show you our progress on the install over the next week. Keep your fingers crossed for us that we are only ripped apart for a week!
