We got back to Florida with no problems and jumped back into our routine visiting my mom. She is growing weaker and is quite confused these days. It is very difficult to watch someone you love go downhill and only have a glimpse of the wonderful person you know is in there every so often. Hospice is a wonderful program, but is difficult on all concerned, maybe even a bit worse for the family?
It is a particularly tough time right now, as my niece, my brother David's daughter, Victoria is also in Hospice beginning to lose her own battle with cancer. It is especially sad as she is still young and has 3 small children. If you are the praying type, please say a prayer for her and her family.
On the good side, we were able to have several visits and dinners with Jason this week. His new job has him working 60-65 hours a week, so he doesn't have a lot of free time. Another family event came up and we were able to see our daughter Kelly, and my brother David and his son, Myles. The circumstance wasn't the best, but it was nice seeing everyone.
We have now officially moved our doctors to Florida. Jan and I have established ourselves with my mother's family physician who we have always liked over the years. He was able to take us on, so one more item is done. We are now contemplating moving our "stuff" in our storage facility in Atlanta down here to another facility in Venice to make it easier as we plan to spend most winters going forward here. That way we would also be able to keep a bunch of things that we use in the winter there also, instead of imposing on Jason's garage :-)
We have been pretty active as well, I did about 55 miles on my bike, and we did a lot of walking. Turning into a regular physical fitness nuts, HA HA.
We are trying to plan out our immediate future travel plans as it is getting a little uncertain when we might leave. We are almost all alone in the campground now. Depending on mom, we may run out to Kelly and Todd's to see our grandchildren, then come back to Florida as a separate trip instead of part of our travels to go to New England this summer. It seems we might be here awhile yet. We have a couple appointments this week and depending how they go we will be making our plans.

My prayers continue for you and the whole family. I am positive that you will never regret spending this time with your mom. I am sure she is feeling your love and it eases her suffering. Please know I am with you in spirit. Much love to all of you!
Thanks for your kind comments. Much appreciated.
